Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil Review/Giveaway

I received one quart of Gold Label Coconut Oil to review and was so excited to find out that I also get to give one away! Before first, let me give you the lowdown on this AMAZING product. When I received it I was eager to use it right away. In my home, we pretty much each omelets EVERY SINGLE MORNING. Normally, I use bacon grease or Pam to grease my iron pan before dropping down the fresh vegetables. Bacon grease works better than Pam at keeping all the veggies from sticking, but without fail when I pour in the eggs, everything starts sticking. Now, if I cake the pan and all the food in bacon grease, we don’t have issues, but who enjoys eating ¼ cup of bacon grease? YUCK!

So the first time I used the Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil was, of course, in our omelets. I only used one spoonful and let me tell you: A little goes a long way! Not only did it fill my kitchen with the faint smell of coconut, but the vegetables did not stick at all. Now for the real test: adding the eggs. I was so impressed at the easily movable omelet. Not a single piece of my omelet stuck to the pan and the omelet was the best I’ve ever eaten! Not only did it have a very slight taste of coconut, but it didn’t taste greasy, oily or fattening like the bacon grease makes you feel afterwards!

I like the fact that you are able to use such a small amount and get so much out of it! One pint would easily last my household of five ATLEAST a month. I’ve also used it on easier meals such as quick grilled cheese sandwiches. My four year old daughter even approved so it must be superior because she is a picky little eater!

Not only is coconut oil fantastic for cooking, it can  even used in body scrubs/body butters. I’m not sure if some of you know this, but my two hobbies are couponing and making soaps/body scrubs! For my body scrub I only used 3 ingredients: Sugar, Gold Label Coconut Oil and Coconut Fragrance Oil. It is not an oily scrub, like some scrubs that have avocado or apricot oil are. It made my skin feel smooth, revitalized and rejuvenated; something I truly enjoyed because I have eczema [a skin condition that usually results in scaly or itchy rashes].

So this is certainly a versatile product that can be used not only in the kitchen but on your sensitive skin, even in your hair! I LOVE products that have multiple uses, don’t you?!

Now for the fun part, we have the opportunity [thanks to Tropical Traditions] to actually let one of our readers try a quart of the Gold Label Coconut Oil for FREE! AWESOME, RIGHT? Entry details are below, but first check out some information straight from Tropical Traditions.
